Position: Giving Grace Family Shelter Coordinator VISTA 1

Member Duties

The Giving Grace Family Shelter Coordinator VISTA will build organizational capacity by creating systems that keep the family shelter running smoothly. The VISTA member will evaluate current administrative practices and design a digital filing and records management system with written SOPs, including procedures for the confidential handling of client information. The VISTA member will create a Family Shelter Operations Manual, a volunteer training program, and a scheduling matrix so trained volunteers can sustain shelter administrative functions after the service term ends.

The VISTA member will also produce a community services and resources referral guide connecting shelter families to housing, transportation, and childcare resources in Denton County.
