Position
Licensed Vocational Nurse - LVN
Duration6-month contract with possible extension or Perm. conversion
Pay$36/hr.
Schedule- 40 hours weekly
- Day shift: 6 AM - 2 PM
- Noon shift: 2 PM - 10 PM
The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) provides advanced vocational nursing care to individuals with intellectual disabilities and complex medical, mental health, and behavioral needs. This role is essential in ensuring high-quality, compassionate care while supporting the overall health, safety, and well-being of residents.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver direct patient care, including medication administration, treatments, and ongoing monitoring
- Educate patients on medications and care plans
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all care provided
Perform computer-based data entry (training provided) - Ensure full compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards, including:
- ICF-IID Regulations
- DSSLC Policies and Procedures
- HHSC Standards and Guidelines
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient outcomes
- Active LVN license
- At least 2 years of recent LVN experience required
- Must be able to pass a background check and Drug Test
