Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor – Full‑Time Nights (Mother Baby Unit)

Hours:
Full‑time nights, 40 hours weekly – 2 admin shifts 3 p‑11 p and 2 charge shifts 7 p‑7 a.

Unit Highlights- The Center for Women at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Denton is a Texas 10‑step facility with the “Best Place to Have a Baby” designation.
- Unit: 23 postpartum/newborn beds, 12 LDR beds, 2 OR suites, 3 private recovery rooms, 6 antepartum rooms, 4 private OB/ED beds.
- Level III NICU with 16 private‑room beds.
- Average deliveries 175‑200 per month.
- OB Hospitalist 24/7, anesthesiologist dedicated to L&D 24/7.
- New Women’s Tower opened July 2022.
- Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
- RN licensure upon hire required.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) before providing independent patient care; maintained quarterly.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within 90 days of hire required.
- At least 2 years clinical nursing experience, including charge nurse or similar leadership role.
- Mother‑Baby experience strongly preferred.
- Deliver care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process.
- Collaborate with leadership, UBC, and team members to establish, implement, and monitor department policies and procedures, facilitate unit goals, and individualize patient care.
- Use computerized charting (EPIC/Care Connect preferred).
- Apply critical thinking and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and regulatory requirements for compliance.
- Provide bedside leadership and clinical expertise to improve patient care quality.
- Assist manager/director with human resource management: evaluations, coaching, mentoring, recruitment, retention, education, and orientation.
