Overview
Texas Oncology is looking for an Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This position will support our Denton locations. This is a PRN (As Needed) position, typical hours are Monday‑Friday 8:30 am‑5 pm, with no weekends, calls or major holidays. This position will be Level 1, 2, or Senior based on candidate experience.

Responsibilities- Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate and promote continuity of care as per standards.
- Assess patient/family needs and provide teaching and instructional materials.
- Prepare and administer therapies under physician direction.
- Administer all medications/blood products accurately.
- Ensure pre‑authorization and consent forms are obtained.
- Facilitate dose modifications by assessing labs, consulting protocols, calculating dose, and consulting physician.
- Perform venipuncture, access implanted ports, and maintain central line catheter devices.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and treatments.
- Apply knowledge of reimbursement procedures and charge capture.
- Level I:
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program, BSN preferred.
- Hold RN state license.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Maintain continuing education.
- 0–3 years nursing experience, oncology experience preferred.
- Level II:
- Minimum 3 years nursing experience, oncology experience preferred.
- Level Senior:
- Minimum 5 years nursing experience, at least one year in oncology preferred.
- Oncology certification preferred.

Physical RequirementsRequires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye‑hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods. Occasionally lifts up to 40 lbs. Requires normal vision and hearing.
