• The Emergency Department Manager is responsible for the supervision, coordination and evaluation of nursing care provided on the assigned unit(s).
• The Manager also coordinates and supervises the activities for the unit, which supports the safe and efficient delivery of care.
• The Manager assists the Admin Department Director in the implementation of Performance Improvement activities, hospital policies/procedures and in the financial management of the Unit.

• Texas State RN license or compact license required.
• BSN required.
• BLS and ACLS required by AHA or ARC.
• PALS or ENPC required within 90 days of hire.
• TNCC required within 18 months of hire.
• Advanced specialty certification (i.e. CEN) encouraged.

• Minimum of 3 years experience in Emergency Services required
• 2 years management experience or a natural progression in career required
• Ability to manage ED throughput
• Ability to lead others and provide the "why" behind efforts or change
• Ability to cultivate positive motivation within the unit
• Executive presence and comfort with presenting to senior leadership
