Registered Nurse (RN) Night Shift– Emergency Department (ED) Unit for Texas Health Denton
Location:
Texas Health Denton, 3000 N I-35, Denton, TX 76201
Hours:
Full‑Time Night Shift, 36 hours weekly, 3‑12 hour shifts, 7:00 pm – 7:00 am
Sign‑on Bonus:
Eligible new hires receive sign‑on bonus upon documented signed 2‑year retention agreement.
- Patients with critical injuries or illnesses are treated in one of our 41 Emergent Care Rooms. Next stop trauma designation!
- Our emergency care nurses, paramedics, employees, and physicians on the medical staff receive continual training in the use of specialized lifesaving equipment and techniques.

- State‑of‑the‑art emerging disease and decontamination suite that can accommodate any infectious disease that can also dual function as an inpatient room for extended stays.
- Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred.
- CLIAFE – must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency (required).
- Registered Nurse (RN) upon hire required.
- BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required.
- ACLS – within 90 days of hire.
- CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 90 days of hire.
- 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program required.
- 2‑3 years of ER experience preferred.
- ENPC – Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course – 12 months required.
- TNCC – Trauma Nursing Core Course – 12 months required.
- PALS – within 90 days of hire.
Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process.
- Assesses the patient.
- Plans the care of the patient.
- Intervenes as appropriate.
- Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions.
- Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
- Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information.
- Maintains continuity of patient care inter‑shift, inter‑hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
