Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room (ED) - Full-Time Nights

Registered Nurse (RN) Night Shift– Emergency Department (ED) Unit for Texas Health Denton

Location:

Texas Health Denton, 3000 N I-35, Denton, TX 76201

Hours:

Full‑Time Night Shift, 36 hours weekly, 3‑12 hour shifts, 7:00 pm – 7:00 am

Sign‑on Bonus:
Eligible new hires receive sign‑on bonus upon documented signed 2‑year retention agreement.

Requirements
  • Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred.
  • CLIAFE – must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency (required).
  • Registered Nurse (RN) upon hire required.
  • BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required.
  • ACLS – within 90 days of hire.
  • CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 90 days of hire.
  • 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program required.
  • 2‑3 years of ER experience preferred.
  • ENPC – Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course – 12 months required.
  • TNCC – Trauma Nursing Core Course – 12 months required.
  • PALS – within 90 days of hire.
Responsibilities

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process.

  • Assesses the patient.
  • Plans the care of the patient.
  • Intervenes as appropriate.
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions.
  • Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
  • Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information.
  • Maintains continuity of patient care inter‑shift, inter‑hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
