Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room (ED) – PRN III- Nights Shifts

Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room –PRN III – Denton - Night Shift

Work location:

Texas Health Denton, 3000 N I-35, Denton, TX 76201

Work hours:

7p - 7a – PRN III – 6 shifts per 6 weeks schedule, 2 weekend shifts per 6 weeks schedule, 1 major and 2 minor holiday shifts

Here’s What You Need
  • Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred
  • CLIAFE — Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency required
  • Current RN licensure upon hire
  • BCLS — Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
  • ACLS — within 90 days of hire
  • CPI — Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 90 days of hire
  • ENPC — Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course — 12 months required
  • TNCC — Trauma Nursing Core Course — 12 months required
  • PALS — within 90 days of hire
  • 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse required
  • 2 years of RN experience preferred
  • 1 year of ED experience or Critical Care experience strongly preferred
What You Will Do

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process

  • Assesses the patient
  • Plans the care of the patient
  • Intervenes as appropriate
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
  • Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
  • Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
  • Maintains continuity of patient care inter‑shift, inter‑hospital, and while expediting out‑of‑hospital transfers.
