Job Description
Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) supports plasma center operations at Bio Life Plasma Services, a subsidiary of Takeda. The role involves ensuring donor eligibility, managing donor adverse events, reviewing laboratory test results, and providing medical support under the guidance of Center Manager and Center Physician.
Responsibilities- Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, medical history interview, acceptance requirements, physical examination, blood testing, and reviewing serological protein electrophoresis (SPE).
- Manage donor adverse events, evaluating donor reactions and following SOPs for medical emergencies.
- Provide guidance on donor safety and eligibility, consulting Center Physician or Medical Affairs as necessary.
- Support Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees.
- Manage employee incidents and coordinate evaluation by occupational health/ER when required.
- Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized, supporting investigations associated with pandemic threats.
- Provide center‑level support for environmental, health and safety (EHS) and support investigations in partnership with EHS or Medical Affairs.
- High school diploma or equivalent, or graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements.
- Current license or certification in the state of assignment:
Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA). - Current CPR and AED certification.
- Fulfillment of state requirements for basic IV therapy.
- Completion of FDA‑approved training requirements for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
- Two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting.

Hourly wage range: $33.44 – $45.98. Actual wage may vary based on qualifications, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location. U.S. based employees may be eligible for short‑term incentives.
