Job Description

Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) supports plasma center operations at Bio Life Plasma Services, a subsidiary of Takeda. The role involves ensuring donor eligibility, managing donor adverse events, reviewing laboratory test results, and providing medical support under the guidance of Center Manager and Center Physician.

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, medical history interview, acceptance requirements, physical examination, blood testing, and reviewing serological protein electrophoresis (SPE).
• Manage donor adverse events, evaluating donor reactions and following SOPs for medical emergencies.
• Provide guidance on donor safety and eligibility, consulting Center Physician or Medical Affairs as necessary.
• Support Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents and coordinate evaluation by occupational health/ER when required.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized, supporting investigations associated with pandemic threats.
• Provide center‑level support for environmental, health and safety (EHS) and support investigations in partnership with EHS or Medical Affairs.

• High school diploma or equivalent, or graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements.
• Current license or certification in the state of assignment:
  Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA).
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfillment of state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• Completion of FDA‑approved training requirements for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting.

Hourly wage range: $33.44 – $45.98. Actual wage may vary based on qualifications, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location. U.S. based employees may be eligible for short‑term incentives.
