Licensed Vocational Nurse; LVN

Join a dedicated healthcare team providing compassionate care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities at a state-operated facility in Denton, TX. We are seeking experienced Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) who are committed to delivering exceptional, patient-centered care in a collaborative environment.

Position: Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)

Multiple Openings Available

Shift Options:

6:00 AM – 2:00 PM (3 openings)

2:00 PM – 10:00 PM (5 openings)

Days of the week are random so must be flexible

First 2 weeks it is a Monday - Friday Training.

Minimum Experience: 2 years of LVN experience required

Local Candidates: $40.00/hour

Travelers: $43.00/hour (all shifts)

Provide direct nursing care, including medication administration, treatments, and nursing interventions.

Monitor patients' physical and behavioral health and report significant changes to the supervising RN or provider.

Accurately document all patient care in the electronic health record (EHR).

Educate patients regarding medications and treatment plans.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support individualized care plans.

Promote a safe, therapeutic, and patient-centered environment.

Follow all facility policies, infection prevention standards, and state regulatory requirements.

Complete all required facility and state-mandated training.

Current, unrestricted Texas Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license.

Minimum of 2 years of LVN experience.

Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, behavioral health, mental health, or medically complex patients is highly preferred.

Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.

Basic computer proficiency and experience with electronic health records (EHR).
