Job Summary:The Safety Manager is responsible for leading the safety program for Telamon's manufacturing facility while supporting a proactive, employee-focused safety culture. This role serves as the primary safety partner to plant leadership, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations, company standards, and industry best practices while driving continuous improvement in safety performance.
The Safety Manager partners closely with operations, engineering, and leadership to identify and mitigate risk, improve safety systems, and support operational excellence.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Manufacturing Safety Leadership- Serve as the primary safety resource for manufacturing operations, maintenance, warehouse, and facility personnel.
- Build strong partnerships with facility leadership and partner company to integrate safety into daily operations.
- Conduct routine safety observations, facility inspections, and behavioral safety coaching.
- Identify hazards associated with manufacturing equipment, machinery, automation, material handling, ergonomics, hazardous energy, and employee work practices.
- Provide real-time coaching to employees and supervisors to reinforce safe work behaviors.
- Lead incident response efforts, including investigations, corrective actions, and follow-up.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and applicable environmental, health, and safety standards.
- Develop, implement, and maintain facility safety programs
- Lead regulatory inspections and interface with local agencies as required.
- Maintain required documentation, training records, inspections, and corrective action tracking.
- Perform routine risk assessments and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs).
- Lead incident investigations using root cause analysis
- Analyze injury trends, near misses, and leading indicators to identify systemic improvement opportunities.
