The Dishwasher Attendant in a Skilled Nursing Facility is responsible for assisting in the cleaning and sanitation needs for meal services, ensuring that all food safety and sanitation guidelines are followed. The Dishwasher Attendant works under the supervision of the dietary staff and supports the kitchen team in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment. This role directly contributes to the overall satisfaction of residents by providing nutritious and appetizing meals in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:
Food Safety & Sanitation:
Adhere to all food safety regulations, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas, following all health and safety codes.
Assist with cleaning kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas, including dishwashing and garbage disposal.
Team
Collaboration:Work with other kitchen staff and dietary team members to ensure the smooth flow of meal preparation and service.
Assist with inventory and stock rotation, ensuring all supplies are properly labeled and stored.

Work Environment
This job operates in a post-acute setting. This role requires regular walking to various locations around the facility. This role also routinely comes into contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses. Team member is expected to adhere to facility’s no-smoking policy.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 60 pounds.
Position Typeand Expected Hoursof Work
This is a position in a post-acute setting that is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Weekend and holidays shifts will be required.
