Produce Associate

Join the Sam’s Club produce team and help members enjoy quality, fresh fruits and vegetables at low cost. In this role you will manage the produce station, provide excellent customer service, and maintain high standards of cleanliness and product quality.

• Ensure the availability, cleanliness, freshness, and proper presentation of all produce.
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting, thanking, and assisting members with questions.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and member‑ready area at all times.
• Receive and stock merchandise in an organized, orderly manner.
• Manage inventory to avoid out‑of‑stock and over‑stock situations, using digital tools for accurate tracking.
• Perform quality checks on all produce, including taste, preparation method, seasonality, and safety standards.
• Follow sanitation guidelines and company policies related to produce safety.
• Use handheld technology to make immediate business decisions, improve the shopping experience, and support team members.
• Lead by example, adapt to change, and influence team members positively.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, control shrinkage, and support business needs in other areas as required.

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Passion and experience working with produce.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and ability to adapt to change.
• Curious, creative thinker who drives out‑of‑box solutions.
• Effective communicator who can positively influence team members.
• Ability to lead by example and work in a fast‑moving retail environment.
• Commitment to complete all required job training and assessments within a set time period.
• Willingness to work scheduled shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Experience with digital tools and handheld technology for inventory management.
• Understanding of produce specifications related to taste, preparation, seasonal availability, and safety.
• Prior retail or grocery experience.

Hourly wage range: $16.00 – $23.00 (plus performance‑based premiums of $0.35 to $3.00 per hour in certain circumstances). The actual rate will equal or exceed the applicable local minimum wage. Benefits include:
