Store Manager
Reporting to the District Manager (DM), the Store Manager (SM) leads the day‑to‑day operations of a single store to achieve sales, profitability, customer satisfaction, inventory control, brand representation, and team member growth. The SM champions a People‑First environment, promotes diversity and inclusion, builds lifetime customer relationships, and delivers a best‑in‑class customer experience.
Responsibilities- Set performance expectations and coach staff on brand image, store visuals, and corporate initiatives.
- Drive an exceptional customer experience through training, outreach, and timely resolution of customer issues.
- Achieve sales projections and develop strategies to maximize sales potential for the team.
- Identify operational successes and improvement opportunities, leverage trends and resources, and implement initiatives that drive results.
- Recruit, onboard, coach, and develop store staff in operations, sales techniques, customer service, product knowledge, inventory control, and visual merchandising.
- Maintain inventory accuracy, manage costs, and control margin to increase profitability.
- Ensure open communication with team members, encourage participation, and share ideas.
- Adhere to company policies, maintain store cleanliness, and manage scheduling while balancing coaching time.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned and maintain attendance as essential function.
- Minimum of 2 years of college preferred.
- At least 3 years of retail sales experience, or 2 years of sales plus 1 year of retail management experience.
- Preference given to candidates with specialty retail or jewelry experience and Diamond Council of America (DCA) certification.
- Advanced communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency with computers, MS Office, and related business, technology, and communication tools.
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, problem‑solving, and conflict‑management skills.
- Ability to present professionally via email, social media, video conference, phone, and text.
- Capacity to plan, prioritize, delegate, and meet deadlines independently.
- Reliable, dependable, and able to work without immediate supervision.
- Additional language skills (bilingual) considered a plus.
The role requires regular standing, reaching, and moving between display cases. The employee must be able to sit, stoop, bend, kneel, or crouch as needed and lift up to 10 pounds. Visual acuity is required to assess gemstone quality. Regular workweek includes weekends, evenings, holidays, and extended hours. Travel for training, meetings, and business, including air travel and overnight travel, may be required.
