Cross-Functional Specialist

As a Cross-Functional Specialist, you'll provide general customer service, checking on the front end, and work across multiple departments in packaging, stocking, rotation, production, and sanitation duties. Key responsibilities include providing excellent customer service, answering customer questions regarding products, taking orders, assisting with product selection, performing stocking and replenishment, handling product returns and rotation, ensuring communication of vendor stock conditions/levels to appropriate parties, and working flexible schedules to accommodate shifts of different departments.

You will also ensure compliance with departmental and store SOPs for food safety and sanitation, properly operate and maintain all equipment, and perform duties in technical or perishable areas such as bakery, floral, market, etc. and operate power equipment. Qualifications and key requirements include being 18+ years old, having 1+ years of experience in H-E-B Store operations, knowledge of computer systems, strong customer service and interpersonal skills, verbal/written communication and reading skills, planning and organizing skills, ability to adapt quickly to performing a wide range of duties across multiple departments, ability to work well independently, and a strong eye for detail.

Education requirements include a HS diploma or GED or equivalent, and completion of Company Orientation and Safety Training.

Physical demands include functioning in a fast-paced, retail environment, working with customers, and performing detailed and precise tasks. You will need to work flexible schedules and perform the following based on your department:
