Job Summary

As a Cross-Functional Lead, you'll lead a team and perform supervisory responsibilities, such as directing work for a team, training and developing partners, while maintaining a total team mindset.

• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in the absence of the leader
• Trains partners; directs work; addresses complaints; resolves issues; builds and follows up on plans and their execution
• May assist with work schedules for the department
• Complies with store and department SOPs, H‑E‑B policies, and applicable laws; ensures partners comply as well
• Performs cross‑functional duties frequently

• Provides and coaches on superior customer service
• Answers customer questions regarding products and assists them with selections
• Uses suggestive selling techniques and advanced product knowledge to meet customer needs and build department sales
• Merchandises products effectively

• Ensures compliance with departmental and store SOPs for food safety and sanitation; ensures compliance with receiving‑related guidelines and SOPs
• Properly operates and maintains all equipment

• Strong knowledge of departments, including quality standards, set‑up, operation, cleaning, and maintenance of all equipment – Required

• Associate’s Degree or equivalent from a two‑year college or technical school; or 6+ months of related experience and/or training; or a combination of equivalent education/training
