Overview
Inside Sales Specialist-International — Full-time position located at 3833 Airport Rd, Denton, TX 76207 (TX041 Corporate Store). Full-time Shift(s): MON TUE WED THU FRI 7:00am - 6:00pm. Working as Full-time Inside Sales Specialist-International, you will receive inquiries from external customers and internal references to facilitate sales in international regions that do not currently have a dedicated Fastenal branch presence. You will not only work with external customers around the world, but also closely coordinate efforts with a multitude of internal teams to ensure that customers, products, and procedures are all in compliance with international trade regulations.
This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals.
- Developing and executing a sales plan to reach & exceed our business goals while also implementing cost savings opportunities for our customers
- Maintaining and growing the existing customer base
- Sourcing, quoting, purchasing, and coordinating shipments to international customers
- Identify new potential suppliers & sources for current customer needs
- Understanding what resources are available to complete the task at hand and utilizing them appropriately
- Balancing multiple customer requests at different stages of the purchasing process, and meeting customer requirements based on individual country regulations
- Completing required training within the training period (as applicable)
- Supporting and participating in continuous improvement activities along with performing other duties as needed for branch success
- 18 years of age or older
- Possess a current full valid driver's license issued in the country where the job is located (including successful completion of any applicable graduated license program for your state or province) as well as the ability to meet our driving record requirements to use a company vehicle, as needed
- Possess or are working towards a degree in Business/Marketing OR experience in a customer service and sales-oriented environment
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite
- Highly motivated, self directed, and customer service oriented
- Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
- Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills
- Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
- Work independently as well as in a team environment
- Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including scheduled conference calls not during business hours

- Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 100lbs
- Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)
- Possess experience in inventory management, logistics, operations, quoting, sourcing or purchasing
- Possess product knowledge in MRO, OEM or a related industrial field
- Experience reading technical drawings
