Job Description
JOB# 935 Electrician Journeyman
Pay: $35-$37
Hr
Employees will work out of town during the week and be home on the weekend (30-40% overnight travel).
Per Diem - $40.00/ day while out of town past 8:00 pm
The client will pay for hotels while out of town.
Education:
Minimum High School Diploma; 4-year degree or Electrical License Certification. Minimum 8000 documented electrical hours desired.
Licensing:
Electrical training - Journeyman or Master in the state of Texas
Experience:
Requires skills and previous experience from the industrial and/or commercial markets
Environmental:
Must be able to perform in humid or wet conditions, high places, and outdoor conditions of cold and heat and recognize that the job site exposes employees to electrical shock, fumes, and toxic chemicals.
Physical:
Must lift a minimum of 50 pounds above the head. Must be prepared to walk, sit, climb, kneel, crawl, and fully use hands and feet to operate machinery. Must have excellent vision, read blueprints and electrical diagrams, and recognize various colors in wiring boxes.
Dress code:
The Client will supply Nomex when required. Otherwise, jeans, a shirt, and steel-toed boots. Shirts need to have sleeves (short sleeves are ok). Boots need to be leather uppers with oil and slip-resistant soles.
