You will act as a trusted expert for local homeowners, helping them maintain and improve their properties. This position offers the independence of field work combined with the stability of steady, year-round projects, a consistent Monday-through-Friday schedule, and the support of the trusted Ace Hardware brand.

On a day-to-day basis, you will arrive at scheduled residential appointments in the Denton area, assess the homeowner's needs, and complete projects efficiently. A typical day might include repairing a section of damaged drywall, fixing a deck railing, installing trim work, or resolving a minor plumbing issue.

Over time, success in this role means building lasting relationships with local homeowners, mentoring junior team members when needed, and maintaining high satisfaction scores through clean, precise, and polite service.

• Perform high-quality residential maintenance and light remodeling, including carpentry, drywall repair, painting, tile installation, and flooring.
• Evaluate small to medium-sized projects and provide accurate time and material estimates.
• Troubleshoot unexpected home repair issues on-site and communicate solutions clearly to homeowners.
• Maintain a clean, safe work site and leave every home in clean condition.

• At least 5 years of professional experience in home maintenance, handyman work, or residential remodeling.
• Practical, hands-on knowledge in multiple trades (specifically carpentry, drywall, painting, and basic plumbing/electrical).
• Your own standard set of hand and power tools appropriate for residential repairs.
• A reliable truck or van suitable for transporting tools and materials to job sites.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with homeowners.
• Ability to work independently, manage your time on-site, and solve technical problems on the fly.

• Experience estimating project costs and timelines.
• Prior experience leading small crews or managing larger residential projects.
