School Crossing Guard

Position: 2025-2026 School Crossing Guard
Summary Responsible for assisting elementary school children in crossing the street at designated intersections in a safe and orderly manner. Essential Functions and Other Important Duties

Essential Functions:

* Stops traffic flow across streets and intersections that may or may not have a permanent stop sign
* Places traffic cones in the street before school begins and removes at end of school as needed
* Notifies police headquarters of real or potential hazards and pedestrian accidents in the vicinity
* Ability to get along with customers and co-workers
* Maintains regular and punctual on-site attendance Additional Duties:
* Performs other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications / Acceptable Equivalency:
* Basic knowledge of municipal traffic regulations OR
* Any combination of related education, experience, certifications and licenses that will result in a candidate successfully performing the essential functions of the job

* Must pass a drug test, criminal history background check, and social security number verification check
