International Documentation (IDoc) Associate

This role is responsible for preparing export documentation and coordinating the shipment of all international orders from U.S. facilities. The Associate works closely with customer service, shipping, compliance, freight forwarders, and carriers to ensure compliance with export regulations and support global customer satisfaction.

• Prepare and distribute compliant export documentation for all international shipments leaving the U.S.
• Coordinate all international shipments, communicating with customer service, export shipping departments, compliance, freight forwarders, and carriers.
• Troubleshoot international shipment issues (tracking, damaged or lost freight, post‑shipment concerns).
• Provide support to International Customer Service by investigating and resolving outstanding issues.
• Support individual and team goals and initiatives.
• Prepare quotes for international and domestic customer service.
• Use documentation software to determine country‑specific documentation requirements, ensure shipments pass Restricted Party Screening, determine if an Export License is required, apply accurate HTS, ECCN, and Country of Origin information, and ensure complete accuracy of all documentation.
• Prepare Hazmat documentation for DOT and IMDG requirements.

• Education Requirements: High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience Requirements: Minimum one to two years of international shipping experience, including document preparation and interfacing cross‑functionally with external vendors.
• Technical Requirements:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
  • Experience with ERP systems (JDE or SAP preferred).
  • Strong working knowledge of export regulations and documentation requirements.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze and resolve problems effectively and timely.
  • Strong listening and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
• Language Capabilities: Fluent in English (read, write, speak).
• Mobility & Travel Requirements: No travel required.

The position involves remaining in a stationary position 50% of the time and includes additional physical demands such as ascending/descending stairs, walking, stooping, and standing. The associate must wear personal protective equipment (PPE) when working in the distribution center and manufacturing and plant locations. The role constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, including but not limited to printer, tablets, and cell phones.

The associate may move, transport, put, or remove equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.; push or pull products weighing up to 200 lbs. using provided safety tools. May be exposed to varying weather during travel. Domestic travel required approximately 0%.
