Yard Truck Driver

As a Yard Truck Driver, you’ll move loaded and unloaded trailers around our Reverse Logistics Centers. You’ll make decisions regarding the movement of trailers to maximize operational efficiency and minimize safety incidents. This person is vital to the success of our team.

4th Shift: Friday - Sunday 5:00pm - 5:00am

• Operate an automatic Ottawa Yard Truck and maneuver 53′ long trailers into tight spaces without causing damage.
• Perform daily equipment checks such as checking fluid levels, cleaning air filters, examining equipment for damage or leaks, and ensuring loads are secure.
• Inspect loads to ensure they are secure.
• When applicable, operate a forklift to move pallets or materials on pallets or in crates around the storage facility.
• When applicable, stack pallets or materials in the correct manner, following inventory control instructions.
• When applicable, examine products to verify conformance to quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment that meets Relogistics standards.

• Prior experience driving a yard truck or semi is a plus, but not required.
• Good math, language, and reading skills with attention to detail, along with basic computer skills.
• High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environment.
• Understanding that overtime may be required.

• Ability to work in extreme conditions including heat, cold, and air particulate.
• Repetitive adjustment of body position to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for entire shifts of varying lengths.
• Noise level in the work environment depends on location.
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required (eye protection, ear protection mandatory at several locations, safety shoes).
• Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, and color vision.
• Good sense of balance and eye‑hand‑foot coordination.
• May be required to lift pallets by hand, each weighing between 50 lbs. and 75 lbs.
