Pay Rate: $16.50/hr

Shift: 1st Shift | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Monday through Friday, with overtime as needed)

Environment: Food Logistics Office (Adjacent to Cold Storage Facility)

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Warehouse Scheduler to manage the daily flow of logistics activity at our high-volume Denton cold storage facility. In this role, you will serve as the central point of contact for coordinating delivery and pickup appointments, balancing dock schedules, and optimizing labor allocation. The ideal candidate will possess sharp problem-solving skills and a strong logistical background to ensure smooth warehouse operations and minimal truck dwell time.

Appointment Coordination: Manages, schedules, and confirms all inbound and outbound delivery appointments using dedicated scheduling software.

Dock Schedule Management: Maintains a live dock master schedule, strategically spacing appointments to prevent facility congestion and balance the daily workload.

Cross-Functional Communication: Communicates clearly and effectively with freight carriers, external customers, drivers, and internal warehouse operations personnel regarding arrival times and shipment statuses.

Shipment Prioritization: Analyzes arriving freight manifests to prioritize high-importance shipments and align scheduling with daily labor capacities.

Data Tracking: Utilizes Microsoft Excel and warehouse management systems to track on-time delivery metrics, driver dwell times, and scheduling logs.

Problem Solving: Actively troubleshoots scheduling conflicts, missed appointments, and carrier delays, adjusting the daily floor plan dynamically to maintain productivity.

Compliance & Housekeeping: Ensures all scheduling documentation is filed accurately and legibly, and keeps the administrative workstation clean and professional.

Experience (Non-Negotiable): Proven professional background in logistics and warehouse scheduling. Direct, hands‑on experience coordinating inbound and outbound freight appointments is strictly required.

Technical Skills (Non-Negotiable): High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and specialized scheduling software platforms.

• Proven ability to multi-task and manage complex dock schedules, labor planning, and shipping priorities autonomously.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to field vendor and carrier inquiries professionally.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior logistics experience within a high-volume, cold storage, or food-grade facility.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to work in an office setting adjacent to the warehouse, sit or stand for extended periods, and navigate the warehouse floor safely when coordinating with supervisors.

Screening: Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and E-Verify screening.
