Warehouse Manager, Distribution/ General Warehouse
Position Responsibilities
- Work with the Supervisor to identify processes that require improvement in material flow, line support, 5S.
- Shift review with leadership team to include visual management and inventory logistics deviations.
- Coordinate training, work schedules and assignments and conduct shift transition meetings.
- Investigate and determine cause of defective work and consult/advise as to corrective measure.
- Develop/Implement process initiatives.
- Maintain proper documentation and records.
- Promote and maintain a safe work environment.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
- Responsible for continuous improvement.
- 2+ years’ experience working in a warehouse or manufacturing environment. Automotive experience a plus.
- 1+ years’ experience leading/directing hourly personnel.
- Ability to train others on section processes and procedures.
- Ability to take initiative, identifying potential problems and solutions.
- Must have experience using a warehouse management system.
- Must be a self‑starter.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must have excellent customer service skills.
- Must have excellent organizational and analytical skills.
- Must have a high level of motivation and attention to detail.
- Proactive problem‑solving ability and strong strategic thinking skills.
- Ability to apply good judgement, strong work ethics and integrity on the job.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Must have experience working in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to multi‑task and prioritize in a flexing, fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
- Forklift experience preferred or the ability to pass CLI’s forklift training certification process.
