Manager, Operations – 2nd Shift

• Manage day-to-day site operations, including warehousing, receiving, and shipping
• Plan inbound and outbound volume, customer communication activities, space utilization, and equipment management
• Hire, train, supervise, counsel, and discipline team members
• Manage operations to meet productivity, service, client SLA, KPI, quality, cost, revenue, and profit objectives
• Drive continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives
• Plan daily work schedules and assign duties to warehouse staff
• Assess warehouse space, supply, equipment, and staffing needs
• Ensure effective training, SOP adherence, and trainee performance assessment
• Conduct staff meetings and provide team growth and development opportunities
• Ensure team proficiency with WMS and other required information systems
• Manage customer service standards, client support, customer meetings, and site visits
• Support annual operating budget development and manage operational controls
• Manage sanitation, maintenance, security, housekeeping, safety, and material handling equipment programs
• Establish a proactive safety culture and audit warehouse compliance
• Keep senior management and client representatives informed of critical operational issues
• Manage warehouse operations supervisors and support staff
• Work overtime as dictated by business needs and perform other assigned duties

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 7 years’ experience working in a logistics, distribution, or relevant environment
• 5 years’ experience in a supervisory role
• Ability to work in unregulated warehouse temperatures during warmer and colder months
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Power Point
• Demonstrated proficiency with applicable WMS systems
• English reading, writing, and verbal skills
• Proficiency in business communication at all levels
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends, as required
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 21–50 pounds
• Ability to adapt to change and work in a fast-paced environment

Demonstrates strong operational management capabilities in logistics and warehousing, with a focus on productivity, cost control, and team development. Proficient in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and business communication, ensuring effective customer service and compliance.
