Position Summary
The Accounting Manager is a full-time hybrid role located in our Denver, CO office, reporting directly to the Controller. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the general ledger, account reconciliations, and financial reporting to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of the organization’s financial records and processes. The position requires an individual with excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a proficiency with fundamental accounting principles.
Duties & Responsibilities- Manage accounting general ledger and maintain full and accurate accounting and tax records.
- Work with the accounting team to ensure that payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and purchasing documents are processed efficiently, accurately, and in a timely manner.
- Analyze and implement best practices in financial accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Facilitate timely monthly, quarterly, and year‑end financial close for multiple entities.
- Prepare, provide detailed support for, and review accuracy of balance sheet reconciliations for various accounts.
- Generate month‑end packages, including all consolidated financial reports, statements, and other needed items, and review and confirm accuracy for investors and other financing partners.
- Prepare adjusting journal entries, as needed.
- Provide audit support, respond to auditors’ comments concerning reconciliations and operations, and address any deficiencies.
- Compile operational cash flows, calculate required distributions in accordance with third‑party financing documents, and provide quarterly reporting to investors and lenders.
- Ensure that disbursements of funds are within budgetary authorization limits.
- Assist with tax preparation and ensure filings occur in accordance with relevant timelines for Federal and SALT requirements.
- Self‑starter with strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
- Extensive knowledge of general financial accounting.
- Demonstrated experience with company consolidations and eliminations.
- Understanding of and adherence to generally accepted accounting principles.
- Attention to detail and ability to work both independently and collaboratively in an entrepreneurial team environment.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google applications.
- Experience with Sage Intacct highly preferred.
- Accounting for tax equity partnerships is desired but not required.
- Compensation range for this role is $105,000 – $110,000 based on qualifications and experience.
