As a Staff Accountant, you will report to the Manager, Accounting and work across a wide variety of accounting functions, including the monthly close, financial reporting, real estate development accounting, accounts payable, billing and accounts receivable. The Staff Accountant is responsible for the accounting and reporting requirements for several Edge Core data center properties and corporate entities. In addition, the Staff Accountant will assist with debt management and compliance and will also assist internal leadership with financial statement preparation and analysis.
To be successful, the Staff Accountant must interact with individuals across all departments and be willing to have their role evolve over time as the Company grows. Key outcomes for this role include:
- Assist with the month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities, including the preparation of journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, bank reconciliations, fixed asset and construction reports, financial reporting, and audits.
- Perform day-to-day accounting operations, including review of accounts payable, billing and collections, and lease administration.
- Responsible for debt management processes including preparation of monthly construction debt draws.
- Communicate with and direct the work of the third party outsourced accounting team.
- Assist with tax compliance including the preparation of sales and use tax returns, franchise tax filings, and reporting for tax incentive programs.
- Assist in the design, refinement, and implementation of sound accounting policies, controls, and procedures in compliance with US GAAP.
- Prepare support for external auditors and respond to inquiries during annual audits.
- Interact with all departments to support financial reporting and analysis.
- Ad hoc and special projects as assigned.

- A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field.
- Two to four years of experience in accounting, with real estate accounting or property accounting preferred.
- Proficient in Windows and Office 365 products required, with knowledge of Coupa a plus.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including both verbal and written.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced setting.
- Experience with data centers, real estate development, private equity, or related industries will also be an advantage.

Includes equity compensation and a performance-based annual bonus. - Annual base salary range: $70,000 - $85,000, depending on experience.
- In-office expectations: This role requires in-office presence four days per week.
- Denver-based roles: This role is located in downtown Denver, with parking provided at no cost to the successful candidate.
