Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Staff Accountant to assist their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $36.00 to $45.00 per hour.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Support lease accounting activities including tracking reporting and reconciliations in accordance with applicable guidance.
  • Maintain fixed asset schedules reconcile balances and ensure accurate recording of additions and disposals.
  • Perform account reconciliations assist with month end tasks and support general ledger activity as needed.
  • Complete cash reconciliations and review transactions for accuracy and proper documentation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure financial information is timely accurate and aligned with corporate accounting requirements.
Requirements:
  • A Bachelor degree in accounting.
  • Bring experience in corporate accounting with strong understanding of reconciliation practices.
  • Have familiarity with large enterprise systems with preference for experience in Oracle or a similar platform.
  • Adapt quickly in a part time environment and operate with minimal instruction.
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail analytical ability and reliability in completing assigned tasks.
Qualifications:
  • Possess oil and gas industry experience highly preferred for understanding of sector specific accounting needs.
  • Provide accurate reconciliations and support lease and fixed asset accounting with minimal oversight.
  • Maintain organized documentation support interim engagements and adapt to evolving workload needs.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and contribute to smooth month end and reporting processes.
  • Show flexibility for possible extensions expanded hours or adjustments based on business needs.
