Cologix is looking for a GL Staff Accountant to join our Accounting team. The position will report to the Sr. Technical Accounting Manager and will perform general ledger accounting, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations and assist with periodic financial reporting and annual audit support.
What you do daily- Prepares general ledger transactions and supporting reconciliations timely and accurately
- Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- Ensures a timely and accurate close process for areas of responsibility
- Performs analysis on monthly fluctuations and communicates material variances
- Identifies and works with others to resolve issues, initiates corrective actions and adjustments
- Provides support for annual financial audit
- Organizes and maintains general ledger transaction files
- Assists management in implementing policies, procedures and process improvements
- Learns established processes and seeks continual process improvement while handling daily work
- BS degree in Accounting
- 1—3 years of general ledger accounting experience
- Knowledge of GAAP, internal control and quality control concepts
- Strong to advanced Excel skills and aptitude for technology
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, displaying the ability to connect and build relationships with other departments, vendors and customers
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple and competing priorities while meeting established deadlines
- Process improvement mindset
- Adaptability, personal accountability, high degree of ownership and a strong drive to succeed
- Positive attitude with a desire to learn and a want to understand responsibilities and improve them
- Experience with Net Suite is preferred

$75,000 – $88,000 a year

Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience. This position will also be eligible for an annual bonus.
