Senior Accountant - Financial Reporting

I'm partnering with a growing team that's looking for a Senior Accountant of Financial Reporting to lead internal and external reporting, regulatory submissions, and key compliance functions. This role works cross‑functionally, supports SEC reporting, and plays a big part in ensuring accurate and timely financial information.

What You'll Do:

- Prepare internal financial reports, external financial statements, and regulatory filings

- Coordinate submissions to agencies (e.g., DOT) and other external partners

- Prepare/review financials, footnotes, and schedules for SEC filings

- Distribute monthly stats and reporting for internal stakeholders

- Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and company policies

- Support external audits, PBC requests, and special projects

- Prepare journal entries and review reconciliations as needed

- Stay current on new accounting standards (FASB, SEC, AICPA, EITF, DOT)

This role is in office in the Denver area. To be considered must live in Colorado.

Requirements

- 2+ years of accounting experience (public accounting is a must)

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting

- CPA preferred

- Strong GAAP knowledge and ability to interpret new pronouncements

- Advanced Excel/PowerPoint/Word + experience with accounting/reporting systems
