Tax Auditor

General Purpose

Join our dynamic team as a Tax Auditor I and be a vital part of ensuring fair tax compliance in our community. In this role, you’ll conduct professional Sales and Use Tax compliance audits, issue tax assessments, collect unpaid taxes, and provide education to taxpayers on obligations and filing methods. Incumbents should possess a general understanding of accounting practices and procedures, pertinent tax laws and audit standards, and have intermediate to entry-level related work experience, potentially in a training capacity for the first six months.

Hiring salary is dependent upon experience.

The hiring range is $34.50–$38.33 per hour.

Bachelor’s degree with major coursework in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

Must possess a valid Colorado Driver’s License. An equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be considered.
