Staff Accountant

Location: Denver, CO - Onsite - Hybrid 3 Days onsite, 2 days remote
Pay Rate: $32.00/hr - W2
Shift: Normal business hours / 8 - 5 / M - F

• 6-month contract assignment with strong team exposure and resume-building experience

This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career accounting professional looking to gain hands-on experience in operational accounting, month‑end close, financial analysis, and ERP‑driven accounting processes within a dynamic and fast‑moving environment. The team is seeking someone who enjoys working with numbers, problem‑solving, and partnering cross‑functionally to support critical accounting operations.

• Month‑end close and financial reporting
• High‑volume accounting operations
• ERP and SAP systems
• Advanced Excel analysis and reconciliations
• Process improvement initiatives
• Operational and inventory accounting

• Perform Excel‑driven accounting analysis, reconciliations, and reporting
• Process vendor invoices across packaging, ingredient, and raw material categories
• Support producer payroll calculations and raw milk payment reconciliations
• Assist with month‑end close activities including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis
• Manage raw milk purchase billing and customer invoicing
• Support monthly milk market reporting in compliance with FMMA guidelines
• Assist with inventory balancing, invoice processing, and sales billing
• Contribute to SOP documentation and continuous process improvement efforts
• Support internal controls and accounting compliance initiatives

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
• 1-3 years of accounting, finance, or internship experience
  
  Strong Microsoft Excel skills required
• Foundational accounting knowledge including AP, reconciliations, and journal entries
• Local Colorado candidates near the Broomfield area strongly preferred
