Job Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Senior Cost Accountant to join an impressive team in the industrial sector in GREELEY, Colorado. This role involves operational accounting, particularly within invoicing, and a strong focus on cost analysis and control measures. The successful candidate will be proficient in using accounting software systems and will be required to collaborate with various departments such as Inventory, Supply Chain, and Finance.
Responsibilities- Manage operational accounting activities within invoicing
- Conduct cost accounting and analysis
- Use accounting software systems for managing and reporting financial data
- Collaborate with cross‑functional departments such as Inventory, Supply Chain, and Finance for financial planning and decision making
- Handle projects analysis and implement cost control measures
- Analyze and forecast future costs, perform margin analysis, and track discrepancies
- Ensure accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications
- Maintain accurate customer credit records and monitor customer accounts
- Resolve customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Utilize skills in accounts payable, auditing, cash activity, and activity‑based costing to enhance financial operations.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in Cost Accounting or a related field
- Proficient in Accounting Software Systems
- Demonstrable knowledge of Accounting Functions
- Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) processes
- Familiarity with Auditing procedures
- Ability to handle Cash Activity and perform Activity Based Costing (ABC)
- Understanding of Manufacturing Cost Accounting
- Experience in managing Freight Costs
- Knowledge of Standard Costs and Budget Allocations
- Skills in Cost Analysis
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Detail‑oriented with high accuracy in work
