Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Staff Accountant to join our team in Denver, Colorado. This role involves managing accounts payable processes, ensuring accuracy in financial documentation, and collaborating with team members to maintain compliance and efficiency. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills and a passion for maintaining high standards in accounting practices.

Responsibilities
  • Process and review invoices with accuracy while ensuring all financial data is correctly recorded.
  • Prepare and conduct regular check runs to meet payment schedules.
  • Verify and assign proper coding to invoices to uphold organized financial records.
  • Monitor accounts payable transactions, identifying and resolving discrepancies promptly.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure compliance with payment timelines.
  • Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date documentation of accounts payable activities.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency in invoice processing and implement improvements.
  • Serve as a point of contact for vendor inquiries, addressing payment-related concerns professionally.
  • Assist in month-end closing tasks by preparing accurate accounts payable reports.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field.
  • Strong understanding of journal entries and general ledger processes.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teams and communicate effectively with vendors.
