Position Overview: We are seeking a Tax Staff Accountant who will work closely with clients to understand their businesses and support tax compliance, projections, and issue resolution. This role offers hands-on experience, continuous learning, and opportunities to build strong client relationships while developing technical tax expertise.

Essential Functions
  • Demonstrate a commitment to high-quality client service and personal attention.
  • Assist with routine federal and state agency inquiries.
  • Maintain frequent client contact to provide updates and answer general questions.
  • Request necessary information from clients and supervisors to prepare tax filings.
  • Identify potential tax issues and discuss them with team members.
  • Prepare tax projections and related analysis.
  • Prepare tax returns for review and address all review notes thoroughly.
  • Review tax law developments to determine applicability to clients.
  • Draft federal, state, and local correspondence to tax authorities.
  • Participate in internal training as needed.
  • Actively prepare for CPA exam completion.
Position Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Completion of 150 credit hours for CPA licensure is highly desirable.
  • Understanding of basic accounting procedures and GAAP.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to multitask.
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
