Job Details
Pay: $62,500 - $75,000 per year.
Location:
Denver, Colorado.
Benefits: medical, dental, vision, 401k, bonus structure.
Employer:
A growing food and beverage retail organization actively expanding in Denver.
- Process accounts payable invoices and ensure timely vendor payments.
- Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing, cash applications, and collections follow‑up.
- Prepare and post daily, weekly, and monthly journal entries.
- Assist with month‑end and year‑end close activities.
- Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and general ledger accounts.
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
- Assist with financial reporting and variance analysis.
- Support internal and external audits by providing requested documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and GAAP.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and other accounting projects as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- 2–3 years of accounting experience.
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, and reconciliations.
- Understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with an ERP system such as Net Suite, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle, or similar is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Experience assisting with month‑end close.
- Exposure to financial statement preparation.
