Accounts Payable Accountant

Denver, CO – Contract. Compensation: $30.00 to $45.00 per hour (depending on skills, experience, and location).

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking an Accounts Payable Accountant to assist their team.

• Manage full cycle accounts payable by processing invoices, obtaining approvals, and executing payments.
• Review vendor invoices to ensure accuracy, proper coding, and timely entry into the system.
• Maintain vendor records and respond to inquiries to resolve payment related issues.
• Prepare and process payments including checks, electronic transfers, and other disbursement methods.
• Support month end close by preparing accruals, reconciliations, and expense analysis.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting.
• Demonstrated strong understanding of accounts payable processes and basic accounting principles.
• Experience supporting close activities and performing account reconciliations.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong organization, attention to detail, and time management skills.

• Maintain accurate documentation and support audit requests with organized records and schedules.
• Communicate effectively with vendors and internal teams to resolve discrepancies and improve processes.
• Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and streamline workflows within accounts payable operations.
• Use accounting systems and Excel tools effectively to support reporting and analysis.
• Experience with modern expense platforms or enterprise systems is considered beneficial.
