Strategus is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our finance team and play a key role in the day-to-day accounting operations of a fast-growing CTV/OTT advertising company. You’ll work closely with our CFO and Controller, with meaningful ownership across general ledger, financial reporting, payroll support, tax payments, accounts receivable, and accounts payable in a collaborative, high-growth environment.

* What you’ll do:

**
* ** Support AR and AP operations:
** Support client onboarding, monthly billing and invoicing, and AP processing including vendor invoice coding and credit/stipend card programs.
* ** Drive payroll, payroll tax, and benefits accounting:
** Review bi-monthly payroll with outsourced vendor, reconcile payroll between treasury and Workday/Net Suite, and manage multi-state registrations and related benefits reconciliations.
* ** Manage sales and use tax compliance:
** Prepare and file monthly sales tax returns, monitor nexus and state registrations, and maintain related state accounts, notices, exemption certificates, and client tax documentation.
* ** Support close, audits, and process improvements:
** Prepare key reconciliations and recurring journal entries, support    expense and variance analysis and audit/tax requests, and document and improve accounting processes and internal    controls

* What you bring:

**
* ** Education**:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred (or equivalent experience); CPA or CPA-eligible a plus.
* ** Experience**: 2–5 years of progressive accounting experience with strong payroll and/or sales tax exposure; public accounting experience a plus.
* ** GAAP and close**:
Solid GAAP knowledge and month-end close experience, including reconciliations, journal entries, and audit/tax support.
* ** Payroll and tax compliance**:
Hands-on experience with payroll tax, sales and use tax, and multi-state compliance in corporate or public settings.
* ** Systems**:

Experience with payroll/HCM systems (e.g., Workday, ADP or similar) and ERP platforms (Net Suite preferred); sales tax experience with Avalara a plus.
* ** Excel and analytics**:
Proficiency in Excel (lookups, pivot tables) and comfort working with large data sets, exports, and reconciliation
