Controller Opportunity

Robert Half is working with a stable public-sector organization to identify an experienced Controller. This role oversees accounting and financial reporting functions and manages a small, tenured accounting team. The organization offers strong work-life balance and long-term stability.

• Lead all accounting operations, including GL, financial reporting, payroll accounting, AP/AR, cash management, and fixed assets
• Manage and develop a small accounting team
• Oversee grant accounting, compliance, and reporting
• Prepare annual financial statements in accordance with GASB
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning
• Coordinate annual audits and maintain internal controls
• Ensure compliance with governmental regulations

• CPA required
• 10+ years of accounting experience, including public-sector or government accounting
• 4+ years of team leadership experience
• Strong knowledge of GASB and fund accounting
• Grant accounting experience required
