Accounting Manager

Overview

The role leads the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring all corporate accounting activities align with US GAAP and SEC reporting standards. This position is responsible for managing day-to-day general ledger activities, technical accounting research, and the implementation of robust internal controls. This role acts as a critical link between operational accounting and strategic finance, providing leadership to the accounting team while designing scalable financial processes.

• Manage the end-to-end month-end close process, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis, reducing time-to-close metrics.
• Draft technical accounting memorandums and policy documents covering complex areas such as ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition), ASC 842 (Leases), and stock-based compensation.
• Design, implement, and test key financial controls to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Section 404 requirements.
• Coordinate external audit requests and act as the primary point of contact for external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audits.
• Optimize ERP and financial systems (Net Suite, Sage Intacct, or similar) to automate routine accounting workflows and improve reporting accuracy.
• Supervise, mentor, and review the work of senior and staff accountants, fostering a culture of continuous professional development.

• 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience, with a mix of national public accounting (Big 4 preferred) and corporate accounting roles.
• Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is required.
• In-depth technical knowledge of US GAAP, SEC reporting frameworks, and SOX internal control compliance.
• Strong proficiency with enterprise ERP systems (Net Suite preferred) and advanced Excel capabilities (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, complex formulas).
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business discipline.
