Pay Range: $63,300.00 - $87,000.00
This is the base salary pay range that an applicant can expect to make upon hire. Pay within this range will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education among other factors. In addition, this position is eligible for an incentive bonus.
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Fixed Asset Accountant to join our corporate finance team. This role will be responsible for executing fixed asset accounting processes, including month-end and year-end close activities, financial reporting, and asset record maintenance. This role supports plant operations and ensures compliance with capitalization policies and accounting standards while contributing to accurate financial reporting and fixed asset record integrity within a lean team environment.
Key Responsibilities- Record and track asset additions, retirements, transfers, and sales proceeds
- Maintain accuracy of the fixed asset subledger and related general ledger accounts
- Execute restricted and complex asset transactions (e.g., transfers, master data changes)
- Monitor and review fixed asset transactions recorded outside the SAP subledger
- Perform subledger month-end and year-end close activities, including depreciation and settlement
- Prepare general ledger journal entries
- Prepare Blackline fixed asset account reconciliations
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reporting related to fixed assets
- Execute compliance checks for capitalization policies and accounting standards
- Support plant teams with asset capitalization, close activities, and record keeping
- Supply asset tags (paper and metal) to plants for use in capitalizing new assets
- Assist with asset tagging and physical inventory processes
- Prepare templates for physical counts and support execution of count processes
- Record and reconcile book-to-floor adjustments resulting from physical inventories
- Perform precious metal accounting, including purchases, depletion, and retirements
- Perform special projects as required
- May be required to perform other related duties as assigned
- Deliver accurate and timely completion of month-end close activities
- Maintain high-quality reconciliations with minimal adjustments
- Consistently apply accounting policies and procedures
- Provide reliable operational support to plant and finance teams
- Build technical proficiency in SAP and fixed asset accounting processes
- Demonstrate and ensure a strong customer service commitment within the organization
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of accounting experience
- Working knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability/willingness to leverage AI (e.g., Copilot) for process automation
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment while being effective interfacing across all levels of the organization
- Minimal travel required (0-10 days per year)
- Work environment is typical of an office setting
