Job Description & How to Apply Below
- Join a high-growth, private equity-backed construction firm expanding across the nation.
- This is an agile, "practicality-first" environment where your financial data directly drives field and corporate decisions.
- Lead a highly collaborative, integrated team of accounting professionals with total visibility into multi-location operations.
- Partner directly with an empowering CFO in a flat corporate structure that values nimble execution.
Join this rapidly growing company as their Controller to take full ownership of the accounting function. This role is designed for a collaborative financial leader who thrives in a fast-paced, lean environment. You will bridge the gap between field operations and corporate finance, overseeing both a specialized project accounting team and standard corporate accounting operations. If you are an agile professional who wants to build strong cross-functional partnerships, streamline tight month-end closes, and optimize a multi-location master framework, this is the perfect career move.
WhatYou’ll Actually Do:
- Manage the comprehensive month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across all locations.
- Oversee and streamline tracking for WIP, job costing, and P&Ls across various locations within a single master framework.
- Act as the primary point of contact for external audits, preparing financial statements and corporate schedules.
- Establish robust internal controls, manage the comprehensive fixed asset ledger, and ensure corporate compliance across multi-state operations.
- Deliver clean, accurate financial data directly to the FP&A team to facilitate timely reporting, variance analysis, and executive forecasting.
- Mentor and develop the accounting team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Deep expertise in standard corporate accounting functions alongside extensive experience in project-based, WIP accounting.
- Proven leadership experience managing accounting teams.
- Strong technical accounting skills with the ability to adapt processes quickly based on business efficacy.
- A highly collaborative, approachable, and team-oriented communication style.
- Comfort operating within a lean, fast-paced private equity environment.
- Experience in construction, or industrial trades is highly preferred.
- Background working in a small-to-medium business environment is highly valued.
- Target Compensation: $150K to $175K, 25% Target Bonus
- Location:
100% In-Office, South Metro Denver area - Benefits package:
Includes health and life insurance, PTO, and 401(k) with 4% match. 8 days of holiday pay.
