Senior Staff Accountant

We are currently looking to add a Senior Staff Accountant to our Denver HQ team.

This is an on-site position in our downtown Denver headquarters and reports to our Corporate Controller.

The Senior Staff Accountant plays a critical role in the company’s core accounting, close, and financial reporting activities within a private-equity-backed, high-growth environment. This role is responsible for journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules that ensure the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger. The position works closely with the Accounting Manager, Controller, FP&A, and Tax to ensure accurate accounting, strong controls, and timely reporting across the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close cycles.

• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules for monthly, quarterly, and year-end close
• Maintain and analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts in accordance with U.S. GAAP
• Prepare and reconcile intercompany accounts and resolve intercompany differences across entities
• Perform variance analysis and prepare clear flux explanations
• Assist with preparation of financial statements and internal management reporting
• Support external audits, lender audits, and quality of earnings procedures
• Provide periodic support for transaction-related and integration accounting activities as needed
• Controls, Process, and PE Reporting
• Support the design and maintenance of internal controls in a private-equity-backed environment
• Identify and implement process improvements to scale accounting operations during periods of growth
• Participate in ERP implementations and ongoing system and process improvements

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3–6 years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience in fast-paced, high-growth environments

Preferred:

• CPA or CPA-eligible
• Public accounting experience
• Experience in a private-equity-backed or multi-entity environment
• One Stream Experience
• ERP experience (Sage Intacct, Viewpoint Vista)

• Broad exposure to core accounting and financial reporting in a high-growth company
• High visibility with senior leadership and various divisions
• Opportunity to build deep technical accounting experience

Compensation commensurate based on experience.
