Position: Division Order Analyst (Special Projects)

Role

This role will provide dedicated support to the Division Order department by completing a comprehensive cleanup of outstanding escheat reconciliations, escrow reporting, and related special projects. This role is focused on reducing the existing backlog, improving data integrity, and ensuring compliance with state unclaimed property requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Complete the reconciliation of outstanding escheat accounts and resolve aged discrepancies.
  • Perform cleanup and validation of escrow reporting data.
  • Research and resolve owner account discrepancies related to suspense, escheated funds, and historical transactions.
  • Review legacy records and correct data inconsistencies within Division Order systems.
  • Prepare reconciliation reports and document completed cleanup activities.
  • Identify process improvements to prevent future reconciliation backlogs.
  • Assist with other Division Order cleanup and special project initiatives as assigned.
Experience and Education
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Experience in Division Orders, Revenue Accounting, Land Administration, or oil and gas accounting preferred.
  • Experience with escheat reporting, escrow reconciliations, or financial reconciliations is highly desirable.
Skills
  • Knowledge of Division Order processes and owner payment administration.
  • Familiarity with state unclaimed property (escheat) requirements.
  • Strong reconciliation and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to investigate and resolve complex data discrepancies.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage project-based work independently.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
