Position Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Controller to oversee the daily operations of its accounting and finance function. Reporting to senior leadership, this individual will provide hands‑on leadership across financial reporting, budgeting, cash management, payroll oversight, internal controls, and compliance while supervising an established accounting team. This is a highly visible leadership role that partners with operational departments to provide financial insight, improve processes, and ensure accurate reporting in a dynamic, service‑oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the month-end financial close process and review financial statements for accuracy and completeness.
- Analyze revenue, expenses, and key financial trends while providing meaningful reporting to leadership.
Review account reconciliations and oversee general ledger integrity.
- Maintain accounting policies, internal controls, and financial procedures.
- Oversee accounting functions related to payroll, fixed assets, inventory, and purchasing.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with the annual budgeting process and ongoing financial forecasting.
- Monitor organizational performance against budget and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare financial analyses and recommendations to support business decisions.
- Manage daily cash flow forecasting and liquidity planning.
- Provide cost analysis and operational reporting to department leader.
- Supervise the day-to-day activities of the accounting department, including mentoring and developing staff.
- Partner with operational leaders and external vendors on financial matters.
- Support annual audits by coordinating schedules, work papers, and auditor requests.
- Review financial results associated with major projects or events and identify trends or improvement opportunities.
- Participate in cross-functional initiatives and other strategic finance projects as needed.
- A collaborative leader who enjoys mentoring and developing accounting professionals.
- Comfortable balancing strategic planning with hands‑on accounting responsibilities.
- Highly organized and capable of managing multiple deadlines.
- A strong communicator who builds relationships across departments.

$138,000-$160,000 annually, depending on experience.
