The ideal candidate has a strong financial analysis background, exceptional attention to detail, and experience interpreting complex grant, funding, or contractual requirements. Responsibilities
- Manage grant-related reporting requirements for wildfire mitigation projects funded through state and federal programs
- Interpret grant requirements, funding agreements, and compliance obligations to ensure accurate reporting
- Prepare and submit complete, accurate, and timely grant reports
- Track project budgets, expenditures, forecasts, and grant funding utilization
- Generate financial, cost, and schedule reports to support project leadership and grant compliance
- Coordinate with Project Managers to obtain weekly and monthly cost and schedule updates
- Assist with project forecasting and expenditure analysis
- Monitor reporting deadlines and proactively manage deliverables to ensure funding requirements are met
- Respond to reporting, audit, and data requests from internal stakeholders and grant administrators
- Develop, maintain, and support project schedules and detailed cost tracking tools
- Collaborate with finance, accounting, grant management, and program teams to ensure data accuracy and consistency
- Support process improvements related to reporting, compliance tracking, and grant administration
- Bachelor s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field (preferred)
- 5 10 years of experience in financial analysis, reporting, project controls, grants administration, or a related discipline
- Strong financial analysis and reporting experience
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including:
- Pivot Tables
- VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP
- Complex data analysis and reporting
- Ability to interpret complex grant requirements, contractual language, and compliance obligations
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and consistently meet strict reporting deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Grant management or grant reporting experience
- Department of Energy (DOE) grant experience
- Utility, energy, infrastructure, or regulated industry experience
- Experience with contract interpretation and compliance reporting
- Experience with:
- Primavera P6
- SAP Work and Asset Management
- Data analytics and reporting tools
- Background supporting federally funded projects or capital programs
