Senior Accountant
Partnering with a growing financial services organization in Denver seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in the day-to-day accounting function while supporting accurate financial reporting, month-end close, and operational excellence across multiple entities. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in general ledger accounting, a hands-on approach to problem solving, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
This position is well-suited for an experienced accountant who enjoys balancing transactional accounting responsibilities with financial analysis and process improvement initiatives. The Senior Accountant will work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams while gaining exposure to a broad range of accounting and finance activities.
Responsibilities:- Oversee daily accounting operations across multiple entities, ensuring transactions are recorded accurately, timely, and in accordance with company policies.
- Prepare and post journal entries, maintain general ledger integrity, and support a smooth and efficient month-end close process.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations, including bank accounts, intercompany accounts, and other key accounts, investigating and resolving variances as needed.
- Manage vendor-related accounting activities, contract tracking, and expense monitoring to support accurate expense recognition and payment processing.
- Assist with monthly financial planning and analysis by compiling data, identifying trends, and supporting the preparation of reports and insights for leadership.
- Provide cross-functional support for accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll processing, and credit card reconciliations to ensure continuity across accounting operations.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to improve processes, strengthen internal controls, enhance reporting accuracy, and maintain well-organized financial records.
- Assist with special projects, ad hoc reporting requests, and other initiatives that support the continued growth and success of the organization.
