Assistant Controller/Accounting Manager
Salary: $120,000 + 5-10% bonus
We're looking for an Assistant Controller/Accounting Manager to join a growing manufacturing company. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong manufacturing and cost accounting experience who is ready to take on broader accounting leadership responsibilities.

- Oversee full-cycle accounting, including month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Manage and develop accounting staff across AP, AR, cost accounting, and general accounting
- Lead manufacturing cost accounting, including standard costing, inventory valuation, and variance analysis
- Review material, labor, overhead, purchase price, scrap, and production variances
- Support external audits and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
- Oversee inventory reconciliations, E&O reserves, and working capital metrics
- Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Service
- Support budgeting, forecasting, capital expenditure planning, and process improvement initiatives
- Serve as a key business partner to leadership and help improve financial and operational performance
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- Progressive accounting experience with strong manufacturing and cost accounting experience
- Full-cycle accounting experience, including month-end close and reconciliations
- Experience managing or mentoring accounting staff
- Strong standard costing, inventory accounting, and variance analysis knowledge
- Experience with external audits, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
- Strong Excel and financial modeling skills
- ERP experience required; manufacturing ERP experience is a plus
- Strong communication and cross-functional partnership skills
- Collaborative, adaptable leader who is comfortable wearing multiple hats and taking ownership
