We have an outstanding opportunity for a Senior Accountant with a growing energy company located in downtown Denver. This organization is part of a larger diversified international company and provides exceptional opportunities for professional growth and advancement. They are seeking a motivated accounting professional looking for more than a traditional month-end close role. The Senior Accountant will work closely with operations and senior leadership, provide financial insight into business performance.
The Senior Accountant is responsible for operational accounting activities and delivering accurate, timely, and meaningful financial information. This position supports strategic decision-making through financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and collaboration with operations.

Compensation & Benefits- Salary: $95K+ DOE

- Lead month-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Perform cost analysis, variance analysis, and operational financial reporting
- Partner with operations to provide financial insight and recommendations
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial models
- Develop management reports highlighting financial performance and trends
- Maintain compliance with GAAP/IFRS standards and internal policies
- Assist with internal and external audit activities
- Improve accounting processes, controls, and efficiencies
- Provide payroll accounting support as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- CPA or CMA
- Strong GAAP/IFRS and cost accounting knowledge
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- ERP experience required (SAP )
