Our client is seeking a skilled Payroll Specialist to join a growing organization where you'll play a critical role in supporting employees, maintaining compliance, and driving payroll excellence.

What You'll DoProcess payroll for hourly, salaried, and multi-state employees
Ensure payroll is completed accurately and on schedule
Review and audit payroll data, including new hires, terminations, bonuses, commissions, and benefits deductions
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies
Reconcile payroll reports, tax filings, and general ledger accounts
Support payroll-related audits and year-end activities including W-2 processing
Partner with HR, Accounting, and Benefits teams to ensure accurate employee data
Assist with payroll process improvements, system upgrades, and automation initiatives
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information
3+ years of payroll processing experience
Experience handling multi-state payroll preferred
Knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and wage compliance requirements
Proficiency with payroll systems such as ADP, UKG, Paycom, Workday, Ceridian, Paylocity, or similar platforms
Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
Excellent problem-solving and customer service abilities
Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is a plus
Experience supporting large employee populations
Exposure to payroll implementations or system conversions
Accounting or finance background preferred
Experience with reconciliations and reporting

You'll help ensure employees are paid accurately and on time, reduce payroll discrepancies, strengthen compliance, and support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance the payroll function and employee experience.
Pay Details$30.00 to $45.00 per hour
