Staff Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support core accounting operations in Denver, Colorado. This role focuses on maintaining accurate financial records, managing receivable and payable activity, and helping ensure tax-related obligations are completed on time. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting knowledge, sound judgment, and the ability to work effectively across day-to-day finance processes.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and record journal entries to maintain accurate financial data and support month-end accounting activities.
• Monitor accounts receivable transactions, follow up on outstanding balances, and help keep customer accounts current.
• Process accounts payable items with accuracy, ensuring invoices and payments are handled in accordance with company procedures.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies to support reliable financial reporting.
• Assist with corporate tax filings and sales tax compliance by gathering documentation and preparing required schedules.
• Support the preparation of financial records and reports by maintaining organized accounting documentation and transaction detail.
• Review accounting information within the general ledger system to confirm completeness, consistency, and proper classification.
• Contribute to process-related accounting tasks, including operational changes or system-related updates, as needed by the finance team.
